CAMERA LUCIDA/カメラルシダThis is an early model of the Chambre Claire Universelle. The fixture at the tip of the rod has been replaced with another component, but it functions well.There is a slight chip on the edge of the prism; however, based on my usage, no optical issues have been observed. It is in excellent condition, with fully functional optics and all 12 lenses. The case is also in very good condition.A lever makes it easy to handle and keeps the rod upright. With no knurling and minimal force required, it is gentle on the fingertips.I have hardly seen this CCU - is this because it was an early product before CCUs were widely available and mass produced?This design is uncommon in camera lucida manufacturing.
